Vegan Creamy White Sauce

  • 1 cup raw cashews, soaked for at least one hour in warm water
  • ⅓ cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • pinch white pepper
  1. Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Use for various dishes such as casseroles, macaroni and cheese, with vegetables, add mustard for a mustard sauce, add some turmeric, vinegar, and mustard for a hollandaise sauce, add vegan parmesan cheese for Alfredo sauce, etc.
