Patty Pan Squash Saute with Fresh Herbs

4 medium size patty pan squash, ends trimmed, diced
2-3 garlic scapes, chopped (or 3-4 garlic cloves, chopped)
1 tablespoon butter
several sprigs fresh sage, sliced thin
handful fresh parsley, chopped (or any fresh herbs you have on hand)
salt and pepper to taste

Melt the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Saute the garlic scapes and patty pan squash until tender, about 5-8 minutes. Add the sage and saute one more minute. Remove from heat and stir in parsley. Season to taste with salt and pepper
