Golden Milk

2 cups whole milk or 1 cup unsweetened nut milk + 1 cup canned coconut milk
1/2 teaspoon dried ginger
1 teaspoon dried organic turmeric*
pinch black pepper
2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup

Place all ingredients in a small saucepan and whisk together. Bring to a simmer, cover with a lid, and cook for 5 minutes. Serve immediately.
