Garlic Mashed Potatoes

3 large russet potatoes, peeled, cubed
8 cloves garlic, peeled
1/2 cup warm milk or half and half
3 tablespoons butter
plenty of sea salt to taste

  1. Place potatoes and garlic in a large saucepan; cover with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Drain the potatoes and return to the pot.
  2. Add the milk, butter, and salt and mash until smooth. Taste and add more salt or butter, if needed.
