Small Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies

  in Cookies, Desserts, Recipes

Generally we like to make more cookies than we need and freeze what we don’t eat within a couple days. But if you just want a few cookies to share with someone, this recipe makes 1 dozen.

6 tablespoons butter, softened
7 tablespoons brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup + 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 heaping cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  1. Cream the butter and brown sugar in a bowl. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Add the flour salt, and baking soda and mix until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  2. Scoop out rounded tablespoons of dough onto a wax paper lined plate. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat oven to 375°F. Place chilled dough balls on a parchment or silicone lined cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned on the bottom.
