1 1/2 pounds grass-fed ground beef
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup minced onion
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
cayenne pepper to taste
Optional: yogurt, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, pita bread
- Mix together the beef, bread crumbs, onion, herbs, spices, and salt. Form into 5 oval patties about ¾ inch thick. Depress the centers so they are thinner than the edges. Refrigerate while the grill heats.
- Preheat a grill to medium heat.
- Grill about 5 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Serve warm with pita, yogurt, tomato, and cucumber.
