Matcha Latte

Matcha is a finely ground green tea powder that you can enjoy in hot or cold beverages. Matcha contains the nutrients of the entire tea leaf and is high in antioxidants. It’s perfect for making a delicious and beautiful latte drink like this one.

1 1/2 teaspoons matcha powder
1 tablespoon hot water
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 cup milk, or non-dairy plain unsweetened milk

Mix the matcha powder and water together in a mug using a small whisk.* Whisk in the maple syrup. Heat the milk until it just starts to simmer and pour into the mug. Stir and enjoy.

*You can buy a special bamboo matcha whisk like this one but any small whisk will do. Our housewares departments sell matcha whisks.
