Heart Egg Toast
1 slice of bread
salt and pepper
- Butter both sides of the bread. Cut out a heart shape from the bread using a heart shaped cookie cutter. Carefully remove the heart.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the bread and right next to it the heart shape piece of bread into the skillet and toast lightly for a minute or so until the bread is browned.
- Flip the bread and heart and press them down with a spatula. Then carefully crack the egg into the center.
- Reduce heat to low, cover the pan, and cook the egg for a few minutes, until the white is set. Remove the small heart when it is browned. Transfer to a plate and serve with salt and pepper.
