Chocolate Mug Cake
Whip up this easy treat for one with simple pantry ingredients when you have a hankering for chocolate. Use plant milk to make this a vegan treat.
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
3 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
pinch sea salt
1/4 cup milk of your choice
2 tablespoons coconut oil or butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional: 2 teaspoons chocolate chips, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream
- Whisk together the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the wet ingredients and mix well. Spray the interior of a 12-oz microwave safe mug and add the batter into the mug. Sprinkle on the chocolate chips if using.
- Heat for 80 seconds in a microwave oven. Let cool a few minutes before enjoying with whipped cream or ice cream.
