1 lb green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
2 slices bacon, chopped
1 small onion, minced
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons natural cane sugar
- Boil or steam the green beans until tender. Drain and set aside.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the bacon. Cook until it begins to brown and then add the onion. Continue cooking until the onions start to brown. Add cooked green beans to the pan and stir to coat in bacon drippings and onions.
- Add vinegar and sugar and toss beans until sugar dissolves, about 2 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
