A Second Oryana

  in Blog

Now more than ever, we’re ready for it!

While this may seem like unusual timing for an announcement like this, the past few weeks have only strengthened our belief that more strong, local grocers are needed now more than ever. That is why we are proud to announce that your co-op submitted a bid to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and was awarded the sale of the Traverse City Lucky’s location. – Steve Nance, Oryana Community Co-op General Manager

While this project has been in the works for some time, we are now just able to share this news with you. Click the pictures below to hear about this decision from Steve and our Board President, read some answers to questions you might have, and find out how to share your thoughts with us.

What you can count on

We know this is a stressful time and we want to assure you we are committed to providing the best possible services and products throughout this process. Here are some things you can count on:

  • Our 10th Street store will remain open
  • We will keep the Lucky’s location open throughout this transition
  • We will retain and maintain the stock at both locations to serve you as best we can
  • All Lucky’s Traverse City employees will become Oryana employees

We know you must have many more questions and we will continue to update you through social media, our website, and email as we move forward. In the meantime, if you would like to share your thoughts or ask a question, click below to send us an email directly.
