1 small head red cabbage, thinly sliced
1 apple, cored, chopped fine
1 small red onion, chopped fine
1 cup hot water
¼ cup red wine vinegar
1-2 tablespoons natural cane sugar
½ teaspoon sea salt or to taste
Dissolve sugar and salt in hot water. Combine all ingredients in a crockpot and cook at low heat for 8 - 10 hours or overnight.
