"What’s For Dinner" Demos: Sample a delicious and easy to prepare dish from our "What’s For Dinner?" program and see for yourself how tasty, easy and economical home cooking can be. What's For Dinner? and other demos take place on Monday 4-6, Wednesday 12-2 and Friday 12-2.

August

Friday, August 6, 5 - 10 p.m. Oryana is sponsoring Paella in the Park at the Clinch Park Zoo grounds in Traverse City. The event will feature a live band Blues, Traveler. The festival will pair the seven wineries of Old Mission Peninsula with seven regional chefs who will prepare Spanish paellas over open fire on-site. Each winery will host a station featuring three 36″ pans in which chefs will cook paella using featured wines from that vintner and fresh, local, and global ingredients.

Tickets are $36 and include (5) 2 oz. wine pours, 3 helpings of paella, live music and entertainment and access to all festival activities. Proceeds will benefit local non-profits, Wineries of Old Mission Peninsula, and Bay Front Parks.

The next Member Appreciation Day is Wednesday, September 15. Join us as we celebrate our member owners with storewide discounts, plenty of demos with local vendors, live music, prizes, a special children's activity, and more.

Join us for a special Harvest Celebration with Michael Shuman, author of "The Small-Mart Revolution", Thursday, October 7 at the Hagerty Center. This will be a very special event featuring a mouth-watering bounty of hors d'ouevres made with fresh, local produce from our farmers. We will have a special tribute to our farmers with a slide show dedicated to them, followed by a presentation by Michael Shuman, noted localist and author of The Small-Mart Revolution: How Local Businesses are Beating the Global Competition.
