Members...Come to the General Membership Meeting

Thursday, April 19, 5:30 p.m.

It’s that time of year again! Please join us  at Gilbert Lodge on Twin Lakes and enjoy a wonderful dinner catered by our own Lake St. Kitchen staff.

The GMM is a chance for members to gather in a cooperative spirit, break bread together, vote for new board members, and relax while listening to live music by Joe Wilson.

Also on the agenda will be the annual “State of the Co-op” address that Steve Nance, our general manager, will present. Last but not least, we will announce the winner of our Community Grant Program for 2012. We received over two dozen applications from local nonprofits (narrowed down to 6 finalists)  and one lucky organization will receive a check from us at the meeting. See you there!

Member Appreciation Days, April 24 & 25

Mark your calendar for the next MAD, the days we celebrate you, our member-owners with a 10% discount on everything.* Samples, demos, prizes, and meet some of our community partners. Members 55+ get an extra 5% off on Wednesday.

Sponsored by the Suttons Bay Trading Co.

April 21 - 6th Annual Kids Day at TBA Credit Union

Our partner, TBA Credit Union, is hosting their 6th annual Kids Day event on Saturday, April 21 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the South Airport location. This year’s jungle themed event will include games, prizes, giveaways, lunch for the family and more! The event is free and everyone in the community is invited.

April 28 - International Year of Co-op Tree Planting

Quote of the Week

“If you’re concerned about your health, you should probably avoid products that make health claims. Why? Because a health claim on a food product is a strong indication it’s not really food, and food is what you want to eat”

~Michael Pollan
