"Soup and a Side" Cooking Class
Join instructor Sharon Flesher and learn all about how a simple, hearty soup can be the base of an almost instant meal. Learn how to create a few basic but delicious soups that can be adapted for seasonal ingredients and paired with salad and/or bread for a satisfying meal that will taste like you spent all day in the kitchen. Recipes will include Cacao Chili, Velvety Squash Soup, Miso Soup, and Quick Cornbread, among others.

In the spirit of St. Patrick's Day, here is a super easy yet delicious Irish dish that you can whip up for dinner in less than 30 minutes. Comfort food at its best!
3 cups shredded green cabbage 1 onion, finely chopped 1/4 cup water 6 medium russet potatoes, cooked, mashed 1/4 cup milk or half and half 1/4 cup butter Sea salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Place cabbage, onion, water and a sprinkling of salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer about 10 minutes or cabbage is until tender.
Add mashed potatoes, milk, butter, salt and pepper. Mix well and stir until heated through. Serves 4.
