Grocery Specials 2/15 - 2/28
Spring is coming and now is a good time to think of cleansing after the heaviness of winter foods. Try this delicious greens recipe with a bright, lemony tang.
Garlicky Greens with LemonFrom newhope360.com
1 cup vegetable broth 6 cloves garlic, minced 2 cups chopped kale 2 cups chopped collard greens 2 cups chopped chard leaves & stems Fine zest of 1 lemon Sea salt to taste
Place broth and garlic in a large sauté pan and simmer over medium heat until broth is reduced by half, about 5 minutes. Stir in greens and cook, covered, for 12 minutes. Add chard and cook until just tender, 3 minutes. Stir in lemon zest and salt and serve immediately.

Dietitian Melissa Tolan-Halleck, MS, RD, will discuss the connection between food and behavior in toddler to school-age children. The relationship between children affected by Autistic Spectrum disorders and food will also be discussed. Samples will be provided.
